Robby Mailatyar brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Renovation Systems, with an outstanding career spanning over 16 years at Greystar, the largest apartment management company in the United States. In his previous role as Senior Managing Director of North America, he showcased exceptional vision, strategic acumen, and a passion for innovation while leading operations for Greystar’s US Property Management business and overseeing their expansion into Mexico and Canada.
Renovation Systems is thrilled to welcome Robby as he takes the organization’s reins, steering it through its next phase of growth and development. His steadfast leadership and industry expertise will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future.
Robby’s enduring friendship with our late founder and CEO, Ryan Comer, adds a special dimension to his connection with Renovation Systems. Robby met Ryan in his early years at Greystar. Over the years, their bond evolved into close friends and trusted business associates. Both shared a dream of one day collaborating and partnering in the business world.

In his time at Greystar, he held various positions, including Operations and Financial Analyst, Senior Managing Director of Midwest, and, most recently, Senior Managing Director of North America. He also attended Harvard University’s Education Program for Leadership Excellence in Strategy and Innovation program.
Beyond his professional qualifications, his natural cultural fit is what truly sets Robby apart. He expresses genuine excitement about joining our team and elevating our business together. Robby is committed to making it happen and is excited to build on our strong foundation. He looks forward to working with our incredible team as we continue to revolutionize our business.
On a personal note, Robby is a proud native of Minnesota and has been happily married to his wife, Ashley, for 18 years. Together, they have a daughter named Pita, who is currently a freshman in college. In his free time, Robby enjoys traveling, spending summers boating on the lake, and has a deep appreciation for classic cars.
